3ds max walk through can't look up toggle fix

Sometimes you press random keys and 3ds max does amazingly weird things. If you find that 3ds max up to 2026 allows you to move with the ARROW keys on a keyboard but the mouse only looks left and right but not up and down...

here's the fix:

Toggle the KEYBOARD SHORTCUT OVERRIDE TOGGLE which is an icon near the snap tool.
you can also press ALT+SHIFT+CTRL+X

now right click into your viewport you want to fly through with the keys and mouse and then move...
you will see no change.

PRESS THE SPACEBAR

now it can fully aim up, down, left and right.
