photomodeler having problems calibrating images

Post by darknkreepy3# »

try using 2 images that have a lot of common geometry
mark as many common points as you can on a good area of the image, not just clustered in one corner etc
then when it does match, add another 20-40 degree difference angle image and find similar points
keep trying with images that are lit enough with medium contrast so you can see what you are doing when blowing up the image for reference markers
try not to use 5 images at once, 10, etc, because the program gets easily confused
save after each image you add, and photomodeler auto-increments your work, i.e. tower tower1 tower2 tower3 etc...
if you notice the calibration of a new image is really screwing up the older data, close and reopen your previous save and try the image again from different markers
be careful in repetitious items like windows and columns not to mark the wrong window because you lost count where you are in one image and another
if you notice a huge discrepancy in matching, you just might have done the above, misplaced markers on the wrong window etc
try to break up a street, grand hallway, multiple room, multiple building arena into folders of images you name precisely so you can remember which image is which
