logmein freezes on remote control first attempt fix

In windows, the activeX control of logmein is screwy and you will on occasion have a mixture of display drivers by nvidia, ati, etc and the logmein display driver creating a serious freeze on the remote viewer side. I found this fix, and forgot about it, but it reared it's ugly head again and I have decided to replicate this information for those of you who google answers instead of just asking someone.


open regedit and goto this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWARE\LogMeIn\V5\Net\NATUDP

then change the key as shown from 0 to 1 by double clicking and changing the value

Note: I ran across one situation where my computer did not have the DisableEx key listed in the registry. If this happens just create a new DWORD value and name it DisableEx and give it a value of 1.
