Custom 3D fonts can be extruded and beveled in 3D then animated along with live video, motion capture animation, and other data to bring something to life that will be very useful for your needs. Instead of using plugins for every aspect of animation in 3D, many of the times I write my own scripts or find modular ways to find a simpler, less expensive solution for your needs.

Hello Hollywood Hello by Donn Arden was onstage in Reno for 11 years plus and had an entire acre for the stage production. Running at Bally's, the show started off with a real 737 'landing' on stage. This introduction to the DVD was created with 3dsmax 2011-2012, geppeto character creation plugin, mental ray with custom animated shaders, and a complete model of the RENO sign including the neon lights and bulbs themselves. Motion video was textured on the surfaces, and the effects of glare, glint, and lens flares were built in after effects. An animated motel scene with a plastic flamingo that comes to life and an airplne passing through the desert at night with pilots is an additional segment not in the intro.
